The Bosch Rexroth 4WE6C73-6X/EG24K4 (R901393167) is a high-performance directional spool valve that is solenoid-operated to control the start, stop, and direction of fluid flow within hydraulic systems. The valve comprises a housing, one or two electromagnets, a control spool, and return springs. In its default state, the control spool is held in position by the springs, but when energized, it shifts to enable the desired flow direction. This model features two switching positions and is equipped with two high-power solenoids that can be optionally rotated by 90 degrees for flexible installation. It offers an electric connection that can be either a single or a central connection and may include an optional auxiliary operating device for manual actuation without power supply. The 4WE6C73-6X/EG24K4 valve also provides options for spool position monitoring and conforms to CE standards for low-voltage electrical safety. For applications requiring specific certifications, this valve comes with solenoid coils that have UR marking according to UL standard edition and an optional approval according to CSA C22.2 No. 0. Designed with a porting pattern according to ISO standards, this directional valve can be configured with or without a locating hole depending on installation requirements. It supports maximum operating pressures up to 350 bar and allows for maximum flow rates of DC 80 l/min and AC 60 l/min. Additionally, users should note that pressure peaks in the drain line could cause unintended control spool movements in versions with detent; separate return lines or check valves are recommended in such cases. Internal leakage is inherent in these valves due to their design principle and may increase over their service life. A throttle insert may be required under certain operating conditions where flows during switching exceed the performance limit of the valve.
