This valve is a direct-operated, fluidically actuated component with a housing that includes one or two hydraulic actuation cylinders, a control spool, and one or two return springs. The ports for control are radially positioned to ensure efficient flow direction. The 4WH series valves are known for their robust construction and reliable performance. The control spool can be shifted to the desired position using the actuation elements and is held in place by return springs when de-energized, except in the case of impulse spools. For applications where operating conditions may cause flows that exceed the valve's performance limit during switching processes, a throttle insert can be utilized and is inserted into channel P. This particular model features a detent mechanism allowing each spool position to be locked without spring return (version ..OF..), enhancing its versatility in various hydraulic applications. Additionally, for configurations without return springs and without detent (version ..O..), there is no defined spool position when de-energized. The 4WH 6 D5X/OF/12 valve offers compatibility with DIN form A porting pattern without locating holes and ISO pattern with locating holes. Subplates required for mounting are available separately as indicated on the data sheet. The valve also supports inductive position switches and proximity sensors for contactless detection of spool position. It operates within a maximum pressure of up to bar and can handle maximum flow rates measured in liters per minute (l/min), ensuring it meets the requirements of various industrial hydraulic systems.
