In its steady state, the PR12-36X permits bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 while maintaining a constant drain at port 3. Once a predetermined pressure is reached at port 1, the spool shifts to restrict inlet flow from port 2, thereby regulating and maintaining the desired pressure at port 1.
