In its steady state, the PR50-36XX allows bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1, while maintaining constant drainage of the spring chamber at port 3. When a predetermined pressure is reached at port 1, the spool shifts to restrict inlet flow from port 2, effectively regulating the pressure at port 1. Additionally, in this mode, the valve is capable of relieving pressure from port 1 to port 3.
