When the predetermined pressure at port 1 is reached, the spool shifts to restrict inlet flow from port 2, effectively regulating the pressure at port 1. Additionally, this operation mode enables the valve to relieve excess pressure from port 1 to port 3. Notably, adjustments on this valve cannot be backed out and are designed to prevent springs from becoming solid during operation.
