In its steady state, the PR50-38XXX allows bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 while maintaining a constant drain at port 3. When a predetermined pressure is reached at port 1, the cartridge shifts to block flow at port 2, thereby regulating the pressure. Additionally, the valve can relieve pressure from port 1 to port 3 at variable values over the set reducing pressure.
