The Hydraforce 5610408.M114 (5610408.M114) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed to serve as a pressure-limiting device for common hydraulic circuit protection. It is compatible with both mineral-based and synthetic hydraulic fluids that possess lubricating properties. The RV10-20X model effectively blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to unseat the poppet, allowing for fast response to load changes while maintaining low internal leakage in typical hydraulic circuits. This valve is suitable for existing and new applications, although it is noted that the newer RVD58-20 model can functionally replace it in most scenarios due to its improved features such as smaller size, comparable pressure and flow ratings, similar response rate, and better pressure rise characteristics. However, the RV10-20X remains a reliable choice where these specific attributes are not critical. Additionally, the corrosion-resistant version GRV10-20 of this valve is not recommended for crossover applications.
