The Hydraforce 5610406NC.08 (5610406NC.08) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed to serve as a pressure-limiting device for hydraulic circuit protection. It operates effectively with both mineral-based and synthetic hydraulic fluids that possess lubricating properties. This valve functions by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to unseat the poppet, offering rapid response to load changes in typical hydraulic circuits while maintaining low internal leakage. The RV10-20X model is suitable for existing and new applications, although Hydraforce recommends considering their RVD58-20 model as a best-in-class alternative for most applications due to its smaller size, comparable pressure and flow ratings, similar response rate, better pressure rise characteristics, and competitive cost. However, it should be noted that the GRV10-20 corrosion-resistant version of this valve is not recommended for crossover applications.
