The Hydraforce 5610202.12 is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed for use as a pressure limiting device in hydraulic circuit protection. This model is suitable for use with both mineral-based and synthetic hydraulic fluids that possess lubricating properties. The RV10-20X valve operates by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to displace the poppet from its seat, thereby allowing fluid passage. It features a fast response to load changes and maintains low internal leakage, making it ideal for typical hydraulic circuits. While this valve serves as an effective solution, Hydraforce notes that the RVD58-20 relief valve offers improved performance characteristics and can replace the RV10-20X in most applications due to its smaller size and better pressure rise characteristics; however, users should note that it is not a drop-in replacement.
