The Hydraforce 5610042.15 (Material Number 5610042.15) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed to function as a pressure-limiting device for typical hydraulic circuit protection. This valve is suitable for use with both mineral-based and synthetic hydraulic fluids that possess lubricating properties. The RV10-20X model effectively blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 reaches a level sufficient to unseat the poppet, allowing for quick response to load changes while maintaining low internal leakage in standard hydraulic circuits. While this model serves its purpose well, it is noted that the RVD58-20 offers improved performance and can replace the RV10-20X in most applications due to its better pressure rise characteristics and smaller size, though it is not a drop-in replacement. The GRV10-20 corrosion-resistant version of this valve is not recommended for crossover applications.
