The Hydraforce 5610009.22.5 (5610009.22.5) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed to function as a pressure limiting device for hydraulic circuit protection. This model is suitable for use with mineral-based or synthetic hydraulic fluids that possess lubricating properties. The RV10-20X model effectively blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to displace the poppet from its seat, thus providing rapid response to load changes in typical hydraulic circuits where low internal leakage is crucial. Although this valve is applicable for both existing and new applications, it is noted that the RVD58-20 valve is considered a superior alternative due to its enhanced features such as smaller size, comparable pressure and flow ratings, better pressure rise characteristics, and competitive cost. However, it should be noted that the RVD58-20 is not a direct drop-in replacement and may require evaluation for specific applications. Additionally, the corrosion-resistant GRV10-20 version of this valve is not recommended for crossover applications.
