The Hydraforce 5610004.27.5 (5610004.27.5) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed to function as a pressure limiting device for common hydraulic circuit protection. This model is suitable for use with mineral-based or synthetic hydraulic fluids that possess lubricating properties. The RV10-20X model operates by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until sufficient pressure at port 1 forces the poppet off its seat, allowing for quick response to load changes in typical hydraulic circuits while maintaining low internal leakage. This valve can be used in both existing and new applications; however, it is noted that the RVD58-20 is considered a superior relief valve option that can replace this model in most situations due to its smaller size, comparable pressure and flow ratings, and improved pressure rise characteristics. It should be noted that the GRV10-20 corrosion-resistant version of this valve is not recommended for crossover applications.
