The Hydraforce 5610001.M45 (5610001.M45) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting poppet type hydraulic relief valve designed for pressure limiting in hydraulic circuits. This model, known as the RV10-20X, is engineered for use with mineral-based or synthetic hydraulic fluids that have lubricating properties. It operates by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to unseat the poppet, providing a fast response to load changes while maintaining low internal leakage. The RV10-20X is suitable for existing and new applications; however, it is noted that the RVD58-20 relief valve could functionally replace this model in most instances due to its superior characteristics. While not a drop-in replacement, the RVD58-20 offers comparable pressure and flow ratings, better pressure rise characteristics, and a smaller size without dynamic seals at a competitive cost. The RV10-20X should not be used in crossover applications unless corrosion resistance is required; in such cases, the GRV10-20 variant may be considered.
