In its default state, the pr58-38xxx model allows bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 while maintaining a constant drain at port 3 through the spring chamber. When the pressure at port 1 reaches a predetermined level, the cartridge shifts to block flow at port 2, effectively regulating the pressure at port 1. Additionally, in this mode, the valve can relieve excess pressure from port 1 to port 3.
