In its default state, the pr58-38xxx valve allows bidirectional flow from port 2 to port 1 while maintaining a constant drain at port 3. When the predetermined pressure at port 1 is reached, the cartridge shifts to block flow at port 2, effectively regulating the pressure at port 1 and relieving excess pressure from port 1 to port 3.
