The Hydraforce 5600409.M220 (5600409.M220) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed for lower flow circuits where low internal leakage is crucial. This valve blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 overcomes the spring force, moving the poppet off its seat. It features adjustments that cannot be backed out of the valve and offers various pressure adjustment options, including non-adjustable factory presets. Adjustment options A, B, and C include positive stops to prevent springs from going solid. The valve supports optional spring ranges up to 248 bar (3600 psi) and provides a rapid response to pressure changes. A bi-directional pressure option is available with a specific seal requirement. Its compact size makes it suitable for applications with limited space. Although this valve is effective in existing and new applications, the RVD58-20 is recommended as a superior alternative due to its comparable pressure and flow ratings, better pressure rise characteristics, smaller size, and competitive cost.
