The Hydraforce 5600409.M152 (5600409.M152) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting poppet hydraulic relief valve designed for lower flow circuits that require low internal leakage. This valve operates by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until sufficient pressure at port 1 forces the spring-opposed poppet off its seat. It features various pressure adjustment options, including non-adjustable factory presets, and adjustments labeled A, B, and C that include positive stops to prevent springs from going solid. The valve offers optional spring ranges up to 248 bar (3600 psi) and provides rapid response to pressure changes. Additionally, there is an option for bi-directional pressure with a bi-directional pressure seal. The compact size of the RV08-20X makes it suitable for applications where space is limited. While this valve can be used in existing and new applications, it is noted that the RVD58-20 is a best-in-class relief valve that can functionally replace the RV08-20X in most situations due to comparable pressure and flow ratings, response rates, better pressure rise characteristics, smaller size, no dynamic seal requirement, and competitive cost. However, it requires a VC08-2B cavity variation for some manifolds which may allow drop-in replacement.
