The Hydraforce 5600405.28 (5600405.28) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting poppet type hydraulic relief valve specifically designed for lower flow circuits where minimal internal leakage is essential. This model effectively blocks flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 reaches a level sufficient to move the spring-opposed poppet off its seat. It features non-backout adjustments and offers various pressure adjustment options, including non-adjustable factory presets. The adjustment options A, B, and C include positive stops to prevent springs from becoming solid. The valve supports optional spring ranges up to 248 bar (3600 psi) and provides rapid response to pressure changes. Additionally, it offers an optional bi-directional pressure feature that requires a bi-directional pressure seal option. Its compact size makes it suitable for applications with space constraints. While this model is effective for existing and new applications, the RVD58-20 is suggested as a best-in-class alternative that can replace the RV08-20X in most scenarios due to its comparable pressure and flow ratings, similar response rate, better pressure rise characteristics, smaller size, lack of dynamic seal, and competitive cost. The VC08-2B cavity variation may be required for installation in some manifolds which might allow for drop-in replacement.
