The Hydraforce 5600303.M240 (Material Number 5600303.M240) is a screw-in, cartridge-style, direct-acting, poppet-type hydraulic relief valve designed for lower flow circuits requiring minimal internal leakage. It operates by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to overcome the spring-opposed poppet, allowing it to move off its seat. This model features adjustments that cannot be backed out of the valve and offers a variety of pressure adjustment options, including non-adjustable factory presets. Options A, B, and C provide positive stops that prevent springs from going solid. The valve supports optional spring ranges up to 248 bar (3600 psi) and offers rapid response to pressure changes. Additionally, there is an optional bi-directional pressure feature available with a bi-directional pressure seal option. Its compact size makes it suitable for applications where space is limited. Although this model has been superseded by the RVD58-20 in many applications due to comparable or improved features such as better pressure rise characteristics and smaller size, it remains a reliable choice for existing systems where compatibility with the VC08-2B cavity variation is required. Some manifolds may allow for drop-in replacement with newer models, and assistance is available for evaluating application compatibility.
