The Hydraforce 5600004.02.5 (RV0820X) is a high-performance hydraulic relief valve designed for efficient operation in lower flow circuits that require minimal internal leakage. This direct-acting, poppet type valve operates by blocking flow from port 1 to port 2 until the pressure at port 1 is sufficient to displace the spring-opposed poppet from its seat. The RV0820X features robust construction with several adjustment options, including factory preset non-adjustable settings and adjustable types A, B, and C with positive stops to prevent spring solidification. It offers optional spring ranges up to 248 bar (3600 psi) and responds quickly to changes in pressure.
This valve is compact and versatile, designed for applications where space and rapid response are critical. It also includes an optional bidirectional pressure seal for systems requiring such functionality. Notably, this model provides reliable performance with very low likelihood of adjustments backing out, thanks to its secure design.
The RV0820X can be superseded by the RVD5820 model in most applications, which offers comparable or enhanced features such as better pressure rise characteristics and a smaller size without a dynamic seal, potentially reducing maintenance concerns and improving system reliability. For systems currently using the RV0820X, transitioning to the RVD5820 might require minimal adjustments depending on manifold compatibility; however, support is available for application evaluation to ensure a smooth transition.
